A Farmer Training and Awareness Programme on the Safe and Judicious Use of Pesticides through Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and promotion of eco-friendly crop protection solutions for reducing the use of POPs and HHPs was organized in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Udalguri. The programme was sponsored by HIL (India) Limited, formerly known as Hindustan Insecticides Limited (HIL), a Government of India Enterprise under the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. The programme focused on creating awareness among farmers about responsible pesticide use, adoption of IPM practices, reduction of hazardous pesticide use, and promotion of safer and environmentally sustainable crop protection measures.
